At the Water’s Edge
Skansbukta, Svalbard, Norway. We sailed the Antigua, a three-mast schooner, into Billesfjorden and anchored off the beach near an old shipwreck. I wanted to take a photograph that acted as a bridge between the old world of the wreck to the new world of the zodiac. I positioned the wreck in the frame to join the land and the sea, as well as the ships and zodiac. The schooner itself acts as a similar bridge, having been built in 1957 but lengthened in the early 1990s.
